Appalachia encompasses 13 states and 420 counties, the edges of which are within two to four hours of our Ohio and Kentucky church locations. It’s an area rich in tradition, culture, values, and natural beauty, yet 82 of its counties are categorized as economically distressed with high concentrations of poverty, unemployment, poor health, and severe educational disparities. Though much progress has been made in the past few decades, there is still a significant gap to bring Appalachia to parity in enjoying the economic and living conditions of the rest of the country. You can go with a team and experience the people and the beauty of Appalachia in Eastern Kentucky while providing hands-on work to improve living conditions for families in the area.

Haiti is the poorest country in our hemisphere, and many are not aware of the inhumane practice of domestic child slavery called Restavek. There are more than 300,000 children in Haiti who are trapped in this situation. That's one out of every fifteen children living in Haiti. Restavek Freedom is freeing children, engaging families, and transforming hearts. We believe that by locking arms with the Restavek Freedom team, we can end child slavery in our lifetime.
