Welcome to the Weekend-Follow Up This is the group part of the Bible Challenge, so your questions are based on specific Bible passages from the weekend message. Each week, your group will discover what God might be saying to you, and how you can respond through a group discussion.
What Tiktok or Instagram filter would best describe how you see life on a day-to-day basis (does it brighten, does it highlight extremes, or does it wash everything in black and gray)? Why did you pick that one?
What stood out to you most from this week’s message?
How would you compare joy and happiness? How are they different?
Would you describe your life as joy-filled? What would those closest to you say? Everyone gets two minutes to explain.
Do you think the people around you would describe your life as more self-focused, or others focused? What examples come to mind for why they’d pick one or the other?
What is one way you can choose joy by serving someone else this week?
Let’s end with prayer. You can say something like, “Jesus, thank you for supporting us even in our darkest times. Thank you for being a source of joy that never runs dry. Give us caring hearts; help us see the parts of your plan for our lives that don’t involve us. Amen.
