Do some good in your 'hood

May 12-13, 2018

Pick your project and sign up

It doesn’t take much to start changing the world, and you don’t need to fly to some faraway country. Change starts at home, and there are people in your neighborhood who are waiting for you. You were made to make a difference.

GO Local is a weekend blitz of community service projects (construction, gardening, painting, hosting events, you name it) on May 12–13. It’s one way we, as the church, can start transforming our communities. (And there are NO services that weekend so NO excuses!)

DEADLINE TO SIGN UP: THIS SUNDAY, 4/29 AT MIDNIGHT

How to do GO Local:

Step 1
Pick your Project

  • Choose a project by midnight on 4/29 that is near you, hosted by your site, something you want to do, or is being lead by someone you know.
  • Can't find a project in your city? Email us at golocal@crossroads.net
  • You can serve with friends and family. Simply add them on to your sign-up form (you’ll see a spot where to do this).
  • Once you pick your project, you’ll be contacted by your project leader the week of your project with final details.

Step 2
Show Up

  • The weekend of May 12–13, rain or shine, show up to your project
  • Watch your neighborhood change
  • Share your day on social media using #GOLocal18

Step 3
Keep on Serving

  • Don't stop with GO Local. Serve in your neighborhood regularly.
  • The organization you serve during GO Local will be really cool. Ask them how you can serve again.
  • Keep an eye out for information about ongoing serving opportunities beginning in June.

Questions?

Will there be weekend services?
While we’re out in our communities that weekend, there will be NO WEEKEND SERVICES at Crossroads sites or online. This isn’t a weekend off. It’s a weekend out—out of your house and Crossroads sites, out in our communities, and out with our neighbors.

How can I sign up?
Super easy. You can sign up here.
