In His Image • Apr 15

In His Image is all about discovering who you were created to be. Jesus shows us what emotionally healthy, whole humanity looks like—through joy, anger, grief, and peace. Your emotions aren’t random—they’re invitations. As you let Him shape what you love, feel, and trust, you begin to reflect God the way you were made to.

Peace + Anxiety | Middle School

Peace reveals where we place our trust. When everything feels urgent, uncertain, and out of control, anxiety can start to feel normal. We carry pressure to have it all figured out, hold everything together, and never fall behind. But real peace doesn’t come from controlling every outcome — it comes from trusting God even when life feels unstable. The more we believe everything depends on us, the more anxious we become. But Jesus offers a different way: a peace that isn’t built on perfect circumstances, but on the presence of God with us in every circumstance.

Anger | Middle School

We usually deal with anger in two ways—explode or suppress. But anger actually reveals what you care about most. It exposes your values, your wounds, and even your idols. Jesus shows us a different way. His anger wasn’t selfish or reactive—it was rooted in love. He confronted hypocrisy, defended the vulnerable, and stood against injustice. His anger was always protective, never petty. When redeemed, anger protects people (not ego), seeks justice (not revenge), is processed (not unleashed), and is grounded in love. Unchecked anger, though, often reveals pride, fear, and the need for control. God is slow to anger—but not indifferent. So what does it look like for us to handle anger the right way? Let’s talk about it.

Joy | Middle School

Jesus’ emotions are grounded in truth and perfect love—not self-protection. This message explores the difference between suppressing emotions and allowing them to be shaped by God. We often chase happiness but still feel empty. Why? Because joy is deeper—it reveals what we truly value. What you celebrate, what makes you come alive, and what you rely on to feel okay all point to your true treasure (Matthew 6:21). While culture often portrays Jesus as stoic, He was full of life—celebrating, attending weddings, and living with deep joy rooted in purpose, not comfort.
