Mike and I have been married for 34 years and have two adult children, one of whom is married. We grew tired of Cincinnati winters a few years ago and decided to spend our winters in Bradenton, Florida instead. We are enjoying building a new Crossroads community while we are there and growing in our faith as a result. God has grown our faith in the last 26 years at Crossroads in many ways, including small groups, GO trips, building campaigns, and camps. I have been crazy about God and my relationship with Him since I was twenty-three years old… and now I am over 60! He has gifted me with one of the wildest rollercoaster rides of a life that anyone could possibly be given! And, while I cannot say that I have relished every minute of it; I would not change one second of it if it meant His and my relationship would be anything less. Today, I find myself at a transitional stage in life with a brand-new canvas to start marking up & anticipating what He has in store next. Hi there! I live in sunny Orlando, and design jet engines from the comfort of my home. My husband Jax and I found Crossroads when we lived in Cincinnati, and now we love growing community in the vacation capital of the world. You can find us leading a board game-themed table we call the "Happy Feel-Good Tuesday Club", joining up with other Crossroads expats for weekend watch parties in the area, and hopping on Zoom with the Anywhere community during weekday morning prayer. To borrow from the Westminster catechism, we believe that every human was created to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever, so a big focus for us is on the fun and joy that comes from a life of adventuring with Jesus. We live by the Universal/I-Drive area, and regularly make time for theme parks, beach days and eating our way through the excellent Orlando food scene. We are on a crazy journey that we believe God put in motion well before we were born—when Patty’s grandparents bought the lot where we now live here in the beautiful northwest Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Our journey has taken us through stops in Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana and Ohio-where we connected with Crossroads. About 10 years ago, during a trip up here, Patty and I became convinced that God wanted us to share His love with others using the Crossroads way of sharing God’s message. It’s not been an easy journey, but we are still on it, and welcome others in our home every week.

We are John and Bonnie Cefalu - we have been married 26 years. John is originally from New Orleans and Bonnie is originally from the Cincinnati area. John has three grown boys and Bonnie has one grown boy with a total now of 12 grandchildren amongst the 4 boys. (yes, it's a lot of birthday parties) We started attending Crossroads in 2003. We moved back to Southern Louisiana in 2006 and started a Crossroads small group in our home.
Our favorite thing to do is just to hang out together, but with grandkids in our home visiting a lot - our dreams of being empty nesters seem far far away!

We've been married for 47 years now. We have two boys, now 45 and 42 who are married with children. That means 3 grandchildren! (16, 13, 10) We attended the Florence location when we were in the Cincinnati area. We would like to bring some of the service work we did in Cincinnati to this area in FL if possible. Sean and I have lived quite the adventure over these past 35 years experiencing some incredible moments and some difficult pursuits. We have come to realize that we are our best selves when we are uncomfortable. So we listen for how God wants to stretch us and where he wants us to be. One of our greatest learnings is that each journey, whether it was what we wanted or not, had lessons to help us grow. God has taught us how to lean in - relying on him and one another and when to lean out to trusted family and friends. It has been amazing to see how God has provided both what and who we needed to deepen our relationship with him and one another. We love to travel and it led us to live in Ohio, Montana, and now the mountains of Virginia. The mountains are our happy place.We have two adult daughters, 2 dogs, and a cat. It is great to spend time with others who are growing their relationship with Jesus. I am a massive sports fan and also absolutely love professional wrestling. I have had a very difficult time with my health for the last twenty years. Multiple back surgeries and a spinal cord stimulator left me permanently disabled but God had different plans. I have experienced healing that the doctors can’t understand and while I still have difficult days, I am constantly looking forward to what God will unlock for me next.
