Prayer

What is Prayer?

We believe that prayer is an honest conversation with God. It's an opportunity to share thoughts, questions, hopes, concerns, struggles and gratitude. It doesn't require special words, but instead a willingness to be open, listen and reflect. Prayer can be experienced individually or in groups that span from a couple of people to a large community. Most importantly, prayer is honest and from our hearts.

Prayer Stories

“At the Night of Healing Prayer in Florence, Vivienne and Traci prayed over my knee and hip. I could barely walk up and down the stairs without pain, weakness, or desperately holding onto railings. After receiving prayer, not only am I going up and down the stairs without any issue - I can carry at least 40lb while doing so with no issue! God is good!”

“At Crossroads Church Live in Indy, Leah came up to receive prayer. She mostly wanted prayer for her back which was at a pain level of 9. I asked God how he wanted to heal her and I felt that I needed to command the muscle tension and pain to be gone. As I prayed, I proclaimed Jesus’ peace and healing over her. When I asked her how her pain was, she was shocked that it was totally gone. I affirmed His love and care for her. Her face was beaming with joy. It was truly an honor to be a vessel of His work!”

“God healed me of my allergies at Oakley's Night of Healing Prayer! Before the NOHP I had intense allergies to animals, pollen, dust and more. I would take 2 medications, yet break out in hives multiple times a week. At one point, I lived with a roommate who kept cats in her bedroom and I had to take up to 4 Benadryls a day. Since receiving healing that night, I have not had a single hive! I haven't had to take any more allergy meds. I even recently worked from home at my friends house who has a cat. I was extremely allergic to it in the past. Her cat was cuddling with me and I was petting it with zero reaction! This is crazy! Thank you Jesus!”

“Two months prior to the Night of Healing Prayer in Dayton, I was diagnosed with a bulging disc at L3, L4, and L5. I had difficulty walking and I used a cane for a couple weeks. At the NOHP I know God began to heal me. I felt awesome that night and literally ran across the stage. My faith was extremely high and God’s grace is always enough. I haven’t had to return to using a cane. I’m grateful for that.”
