Discussion questions to help you unpack the message with others.
  1. Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck, or 100 duck-sized horses?

  2. Read Philippians 3:12. How might our past experiences impact how we view ourselves and influence the decisions we make today?

  3. Read Ephesians 2:19-22. What does it mean to you to become “family members” with the people who have chosen to believe and follow the ways of Jesus?

  4. Read 1 Corinthians 7:35. What is one way you may be distracted from exploring more of who God is or what he has for you? Share with the group one thing you could remove this week, and what you’ll replace it with to spend more time with God.

  5. Now close your time in prayer. Here’s an example: “God, we thank you first for chasing after us. We ask for your voice to be clear. We ask that you show us your ways and how to follow you. We put our full trust in you. We thank you for your sacrifice and the ability to be forgiven. We ask for your Holy Spirit to lead us. Amen.

This weekend, professional horse trainer Todd Pierce is going to show us—through the eyes of an untamed horse—what it looks like to leave behind our wildness and embrace the freedom that a loving God offers.
