Will things ever get better? | The Struggle is Real
What’s the bigger struggle: getting up in the morning and climbing into the shower, or getting out of the shower once it’s over?
We likely all have some on-going struggle in our life that seems inescapable or undefeatable. What area of your life seems to be the struggle you can’t shake?
Read Romans 5:3-5. How does your struggle affect how you feel each day? Does it impact how you approach the struggle?
Read 1 Corinthians 12:9-10. God can actually do something powerful in the midst of our struggle when we partner with him. What’s one way you can surrender your situation to God this week, so his strength can be on display?
Now close your time in prayer. Here’s an example: God, thank you for the struggles in our lives; they remind us of your continued love and your commitment to chasing us. Thank you for not abandoning us. We invite you into our pain. We ask that you give us the strength to step into our struggles and experience the freedom only you can provide. Please deepen our trust in You. Thank you for bringing us hope. Amen.
“Will my life ever get easier?” We’ve all asked that question while stuck neck-deep in whatever struggle we’re facing this week. It’s hard to know what to do, hard to make progress, and hard to feel like God even cares. Yet in the midst of our struggle, God wants us to know two things: that we will make it through, and that we will be better on the other side. Join us today as Alli talks about how we can find hope and direction no matter the struggle
