- Did you dress up for Halloween as a kid? What was your favorite costume?
- What stood out to you most from the message?
- How do you tend to view and interact with money? Do you meticulously track everything, do you “go where the wind takes you,” or somewhere in between?
- When we tithe, it shows that God has our heart, mind, and wallet. What’s one barrier that you struggle with when it comes to tithing?
- There are many impactful nonprofits and individuals who need our generosity. Why is it important to tithe to your local church?
- In Luke 11:42-44, the Pharisees were dedicated to tithing, but failed to show love and justice to others. What are some ways you’ve shown love and justice besides giving to the church?
- Read Malachi 3:8-10. What is your reaction when you hear that God asks you to put him to the test with tithing? Where would you like to experience blessings from him?
- What’s one step you can take this week to grow in your generosity and trust God with your tithe?
Prayer
Let’s end our time praying together. You can say something like, “God, thank you for wanting to pour down blessings in our lives. Managing money can be frustrating and stressful. Please help us to trust You as we grow and go on an adventure in this area. In the identity and character of Jesus we pray, amen.”
