How To Make Your Vision a Reality
Nehemiah: How to Make Your Vision a Reality
Discussion questions to help you unpack the message with others.
- What’s a vision you have for yourself this year? What makes it important to you?
- What stood out to you most from the message?
- Where do the visions for your life come from?
- How do your visions impact your relationships or the way you live your life? How do they change the way you see yourself?
- In what area(s) of your life do you suffer from a lack of vision? What are some obstacles that make it difficult for you to have vision?
- How do you leverage prayer to develop your vision?
- Read Nehemiah 1:10-11. How do you invite God into your emotions and let him inform your vision?
- What’s one way you can take a step towards your vision (or begin the process of building a vision) this week?
Prayer
Let’s end with prayer. You can say something like, “God, thank you for the gift of emotions. Thank you for imbuing our lives with purpose. Give us your strength as we pursue the visions you are building in us. Amen.”
Bonus Questions

- In what ways do you find yourself avoiding God’s vision for your life? What kinds of distractions or coping mechanisms do you engage with?
- Emotions are information. Where do you see yourself maximizing or minimizing your emotions to motivate the pursuit of our vision?
- How would your life look different if you set the distractions aside and fully committed to a vision?
