How it Ends | Week 1: Real Importance
On a scale of 1-10, how creeped out are you by talking about the end times? And why? (1 - I’m good. Nothing is weird to me. 10- I’m reading the DaVinci Code and going to sleep with the lights on tonight.)
A lamb, (Rev. 5:11) a lion (Rev. 5:5) and a guy on a white horse with a mouth-sword (Rev. 19:11-16). How would you describe Jesus at his full bandwidth?
In the end, God will redeem and restore the world. What do you need to be redeemed and restored today? Are you willing to let Jesus work on that area?
Remember the part about the seven heads and ten crowns? Metaphors aside, where are you placing crowns in your life? Why?
How you follow Jesus is all that matters. What does it mean to forget the Hollywood stories and instead prepare spiritually for the end?
Why would a book about a beast with multiple heads, a bleeding lamb, a serpent, and a dragon actually matter to us now? First, because it’s the story of God’s design for us coming full circle. Second, looking at the end gives us hope for tomorrow and a lens to look at our lives today. Third, we know who wins.
