The crowd celebrating Jesus put their faith in a political victory. How do you think their assumptions affected the way they perceived Jesus?

What kinds of assumptions about Jesus do you think might be making in your life right now? How do those assumptions influence your faith?

Where have you seen your own personal agendas or desires influence your relationship with God?

What’s one thing (desire, person, movement, etc.) you’re placing more importance on than God? What would it look like to surrender that to God?

Let’s end with prayer. You can say something like, “Jesus, thank you for valuing your relationship with us above all else. Thank you for your faithfulness. Give us the strength to put our faith in You instead of our own agendas. Amen.”
