If you just got engaged, congratulations. We’re excited to walk with you on your journey towards marriage.

Couples getting married at a Crossroads location or by a Crossroads pastor will need to participate in our premarital process, designed to strengthen your relationship, grow your faith together, and prepare you for the life you’re building.

Who is this process for?

We aren’t about just doing weddings here. We’re about building strong marriages.

Our premarital process is for engaged couples who plan to get married at a Crossroads location and/or by a Crossroads commissioned marrying pastor. We recommend starting at least six months before your wedding to allow enough time for meaningful marriage preparation. If your wedding is sooner, reach out to weddings@crossroads.net so we can talk through what’s possible.

Whether you’re seriously dating, engaged, or simply looking to be more intentional in your relationship, Building Blocks for Marriage prepares couples for lifelong marriage through practical teaching and meaningful conversations.

Building Blocks is also required for couples getting married at Crossroads or by a Crossroads commissioned pastor.

Requirements

To participate in the Crossroads premarital process:

  • You and/or your fiancé should consider Crossroads your home.
  • We recommend starting the process at least six months before your wedding so you have enough time to complete everything without feeling rushed.
  • If your wedding is less than six months away, email weddings@crossroads.net right away. We’ll talk through your timeline and what may be possible.

Crossroads will marry two Christ-followers, or two people who are not Christ-followers but have similar spiritual desires. We won’t marry a couple where only one person is following Jesus.

The process

Before your wedding, you’ll:

  • Share your spiritual journeys (and divorce story if applicable).
  • Gather letters of recommendation about your relationship from people in your community.
  • Participate in Building Blocks for Marriage, our marriage-preparation experience focused on practical and biblical tools for building a strong marriage.
  • Meet with someone from our Dollars & Sense team to talk about money, ask questions and build practical tools for navigating finances together.
