Pre-K program
(5 days a week)

Red and Green Room

Our goals in this program are to prepare your child for kindergarten, encourage excitement for learning, and incorporate the love of Jesus throughout our day. We encourage independence in a safe, caring environment while helping each child reach their potential.

Our Pre-K program has the advantage of more days a week which allows to not only introduce, but master the following skills:

  • Recognizing and writing numbers 1-30
  • Name uppercase and lowercase alphabet
  • Producing letter sounds
  • Early reading skills
  • Learning the vowels and their sounds
  • Basic math skills including patterns, sequencing, addition, subtraction, telling time, identifying coins, etc.
  • Learning personal information including first and last names, street address & birthday
  • Rhyming and opposites

Students attend 5 days a week.

crossroads preschool full week schedule

Daily Schedule

  • 9:00-9:40 - Floor play/small table curriculum
  • 9:40-9:55 - Morning circle time (introduce our theme of the week, calendar, weather, Pledge of Allegiance, etc.)
  • 9:55-10:25 - Play time outside or in the play room
  • 10:25-10:45 - Class restroom break, wash hands, snack time
  • 10:45-11:10 - Book and/or Bible lesson, songs, more theme discussion
  • 11:10-11:25 - Table work where we encourage independent work as we walk around to assist if necessary
  • 11:25-11:45 - Music (Tuesday and Wednesday), Chapel (Monday), science, cooking or gross motor games (Thursday and Friday)
