(formerly Ministry Basics)
Lots of us love the idea of serving others but only know how to do so physically. Maybe we’re willing to pray for each other, but feel like anything beyond that is for “more qualified” people.
BOO ON THAT. The Bible knows nothing of a division between ‘minister people’ and ‘regular people’. Ministry 101 is a crash course in hands-on ministry for any follower of Jesus who wants to grow skilled in serving the spiritual needs of others.
This two-session training, while being a quick teaser, will provide an overview of Salvation, Baptisms, Repentance, Deliverance, Worship, and Prophecy. It will give ministers hands-on experience with 1) walking someone through repentance, and 2) speaking God’s words to another person. You will actually walk out of class having done those things–Really. If you’re ready to begin urging people toward the good life Jesus has for them, come learn Ministry 101!
Ministry 101 is a prerequisite for serving on Crossroads Camp Prayer Teams.
Ministry 201 is a teaching and discussion forum for “active ministers”: people who’ve been through Ministry 101 and are out there in the trenches, actively praying for and guiding people into closer walks with Jesus through repentance, worship, baptisms, prophecy, and deliverance.
As we involve ourselves with what God is doing in people’s lives, we inevitably run into “higher level” problems: What if deliverance isn’t experienced at first? Are there better ways to help somebody into healing than I presently employ? Am I too harsh in the way I minister? Too soft, with no challenge? Are there more efficient, effective methods being used in the community around me that I could learn from? In sum: how can I get better at this endeavor?
Ministry 201 will provide instruction regarding timely ministry issues and real-life examples so that we can all get more skilled as we endeavor to love people the way that Jesus did. We want to minister with ALL wisdom, until EVERY man knows the fullness of our great King. We labor at this most important work, as an act of worship to God.
“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.” Colossians 1:28-29
Ministry 201 will be offered by email invitation to those people that completed Ministry 101 (Ministry Basics).
