-
00:00:02
You know, we're doing this because we want our Thanksgivings to be better.
-
00:00:07
We want them to be different.
-
00:00:09
We don't just want the same old, same old and gorge on Turkey
-
00:00:12
and have tryptophan overload and all the rest the stuff.
-
00:00:14
We want to connect with God.
-
00:00:16
So we're giving you real things you can do to start new traditions.
-
00:00:26
Well, hey, my name is Brian Tome.
-
00:00:28
It's great to be with you today here at my house.
-
00:00:31
And I've got some friends, family members, and colleagues around the table
-
00:00:35
that we'll be talking with them in a little bit.
-
00:00:37
We're doing something a little different.
-
00:00:39
Well, it's different for me.
-
00:00:40
It may be very different for you.
-
00:00:42
It's called Thanksgiving Eve.
-
00:00:45
You might be saying, "Thanksgiving Eve?
-
00:00:47
What is Thanksgiving Eve?
-
00:00:48
I've heard of Christmas.
-
00:00:50
I've heard of Christmas Eve. Why Thanksgiving Eve?"
-
00:00:52
Well, we invented it here at Crossroads.
-
00:00:54
Yes, we actually -- someone else might have been doing it for a while.
-
00:00:56
But we have been doing this at Crossroads for many, many, many, many years.
-
00:01:00
Thanksgiving is really probably my favorite holiday.
-
00:01:03
Of all the holidays, it's one holiday that hasn't been commercialized.
-
00:01:07
And it's one holiday that has deep, intensive roots.
-
00:01:11
So why not just celebrate Thanksgiving when
we can also celebrate Thanksgiving Eve?
-
00:01:16
And we're going to do something right now
-
00:01:18
that I think is going to be helpful to you, helpful to all of us.
-
00:01:21
And even if you're just watching right now,
-
00:01:23
if you do this tomorrow on Thanksgiving or New Year's Eve or Christmas Eve,
-
00:01:30
I promise you you're going to have a
more meaningful holiday than you normally do.
-
00:01:35
So let me give us a scripture.
-
00:01:37
The scripture is 1 Thessalonians 1:2.
-
00:01:40
It says this:.
-
00:01:41
We give thanks to God always for all
of you constantly mentioning you in our prayers.
-
00:01:51
We give thanks to God.
-
00:01:54
They give thanks.
-
00:01:55
Well, why isn't it like we think thanks, we meditate thanks,
-
00:02:00
we philosophize thanks, we have thanks?
-
00:02:04
Give thanks.
-
00:02:05
To give something is assuming there is an object
or an entity who is to receive it.
-
00:02:13
That's what Thanksgiving is.
-
00:02:14
We are giving thanks to the One who
is worthy of receiving thanks, and that's God.
-
00:02:21
And we're going to try to remember today the things
-
00:02:24
that God has done in our life over the last year.
-
00:02:29
And we're going to celebrate that and we're going to thank God for it.
-
00:02:31
We're going to thank each other for it.
-
00:02:33
And in the midst of it,
-
00:02:34
we're going to have something that's going to actually overflow.
-
00:02:38
We've been doing this in my family for, gosh, probably 20 years.
-
00:02:43
It centers around this vase right here.
-
00:02:46
This vase is a family keepsake.
-
00:02:50
It says engraved on this Waterford crystal,
-
00:02:56
"Only in America. Gee, aren't we lucky?".
-
00:03:00
Gee, aren't we lucky, that's how an old friend of mine used to talk.
-
00:03:04
Not quite that dorky.
-
00:03:06
It's has the initials CHL, which is Carl Henry Lindner.
-
00:03:12
Carl Lindner was the, I don't know,
-
00:03:16
just a very wealthy philanthropist in Cincinnati.
-
00:03:19
He owned the Cincinnati Reds.
-
00:03:22
A primary shareholder in Great American Financial
-
00:03:24
and Chiquita Banana, and a whole bunch of other things.
-
00:03:27
And I got the blessing to go to his 80th birthday party.
-
00:03:30
I'm not sure exactly how I did, but I got to go to his 80th birthday party.
-
00:03:34
And Carl is like the only guy when someone comes to his birthday party,
-
00:03:37
he gives them gifts.
-
00:03:39
So he gave all the guys cufflinks and all the ladies this vase.
-
00:03:46
"Only in America.
-
00:03:47
Gee, aren't we lucky?"
-
00:03:49
I know his sons would oftentimes talk to him and say,
-
00:03:52
"Dad, we're not lucky, we're blessed.
-
00:03:55
We're blessed. We didn't just hit the lotto.
-
00:03:57
God has been smiling on us.
-
00:03:58
He's blessing us.
-
00:03:59
It's something to give thanks to God for."
-
00:04:02
So what we've done is we've taken this vase
-
00:04:05
and we put it in the center of our table.
-
00:04:09
And we go round and as we give thanks
-
00:04:13
we take a little water and we pour it in.
-
00:04:15
And most the time we have little itty bitty teacups
-
00:04:18
that trace way back to Lib's grandmother and we do those.
-
00:04:22
But it's going to be a lot cleaner for us right now to just use water like this.
-
00:04:25
And this also is tied into something in the scripture.
-
00:04:29
It comes from the Book of Psalms 23:5.
-
00:04:36
King David says: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
-
00:04:42
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
-
00:04:48
I've been around this table, we've got a lot of things to give thanks for.
-
00:04:52
I'll bet around this table we have a lot of things that are overflowing.
-
00:04:55
Not all of us have overflowing friends
-
00:04:57
or overflowing finances or overflowing health.
-
00:05:01
But all of us have been blessed by God.
-
00:05:03
All of us have received things from God.
-
00:05:06
And we want to say thank you to Him.
-
00:05:08
Right now we want to give thanks to Him.
-
00:05:12
So before we go any further,
-
00:05:14
why don't we just give thanks to God right now in prayer, OK?
-
00:05:17
God, I am amazed at the number of things that You have blessed me with,
-
00:05:24
the number of things You blessed us with,
-
00:05:26
the number of things You've given,
-
00:05:28
and the number of --
-
00:05:30
the amount of protection that You've given me
-
00:05:33
and probably everyone around this table.
-
00:05:34
I pray that all of us who are here, all of us who are streaming,
-
00:05:38
all of us who are engaged right now,
-
00:05:40
You would hear from us that we're thankful.
-
00:05:43
We want to give You our thanks.
-
00:05:45
We want You to be encouraged and You to be blessed
-
00:05:47
by us articulating how good You are
-
00:05:49
in specific ways this Thanksgiving Eve.
-
00:05:53
Amen.
-
00:05:54
Well, I'm going to start here.
-
00:05:55
Actually, we have all staff members around the table.
-
00:05:58
So I'm going to start with this.
-
00:05:59
I'm going to say, one of the things I'm really thankful for
-
00:06:03
are the incredible, incredible people that God helps me work with,
-
00:06:10
that God enables me to work with.
-
00:06:13
I'm thankful for Ali cat over there, who's, man, you hit a whole new gear.
-
00:06:18
All new gear in terms of teaching this last year.
-
00:06:20
Thank you for Malcolm, also known as X.
-
00:06:23
Thanks for X and the amazing job you're doing at Florence.
-
00:06:26
I'm so thankful for A-A-Ron, also known as Aaron,
-
00:06:30
who does a lot of our digitizing and music behind the scenes.
-
00:06:33
Robbie Reider who does all of our music stuff.
-
00:06:35
Latasha who does our H.R.
-
00:06:37
I mean each one of you guys, I probably should do my own thing,
-
00:06:40
but I just wanted a blanket to say I'm just so thankful for all of you.
-
00:06:44
I'm a blessed man to be able to be with you.
-
00:06:48
I give thanks for you, to you.
-
00:06:51
- So I'm next.
-
00:06:52
So I -- this year, I'm really thankful.
-
00:06:56
My husband, Nick and I are expecting our second child in April,
-
00:07:01
which is great.
-
00:07:02
But I know that there are just --
-
00:07:05
there's so many families who struggle to get pregnant.
-
00:07:07
And so I am just really thankful that that
was not an issue for us with this baby.
-
00:07:13
And at the same time, I have two sister-in-laws
-
00:07:15
that are also due within a week of me.
-
00:07:17
And so I'm just excited for my kids to grow up with cousins
-
00:07:21
and to be blessed with another healthy pregnancy.
-
00:07:23
- That was good.
-
00:07:26
- I'm Ali and I'm a teaching pastor at Crossroads.
-
00:07:29
And I give thanks to God this year specifically
-
00:07:34
for the opportunity to be in school.
-
00:07:38
I'll actually be finishing soon and I'm excited about that too,
-
00:07:41
the opportunity to get out of school.
-
00:07:42
But I don't -- I'm not thankful for the knowledge,
-
00:07:47
though I think that will serve me in some ways.
-
00:07:50
I'm thankful that I know Him better.
-
00:07:52
I feel like as a result of being in school,
-
00:07:55
because He knows me and He knows how I'm going to meet Him.
-
00:07:58
And He knows how I'm gonna get to know Him,
-
00:08:01
that this process of being in school for me
-
00:08:03
has been like a long process of getting to know Him better.
-
00:08:06
And I am so grateful for that.
-
00:08:08
I'm so grateful that He knows me well enough to put me in a situation
-
00:08:13
where that's going to be the result, even if at school in my 40s.
-
00:08:17
So I'm incredibly thankful for a God who knows me
-
00:08:20
and who just lined up all the circumstances in my life
-
00:08:24
to make that possible for the last couple of years.
-
00:08:26
So.
-
00:08:28
- That's great.
-
00:08:30
- My name is Malcolm Henderson, Community Pastor at Florence.
-
00:08:34
And as of six hours ago, other than car payments,
-
00:08:39
my wife Erin and I are completely debt free.
-
00:08:42
- Yeah, so we closed on a house a couple weeks ago.
-
00:08:45
And because of the check that they cut,
-
00:08:48
we were able to pay off all student loans, all credit card debot.
-
00:08:51
And God has just completely turned around our finances.
-
00:08:54
So, that's amazing.
-
00:08:55
- How did you do that? Any key things you did differently?
-
00:08:59
- My wife's very handy, so she completely renovated the house we lived in.
-
00:09:03
So literally first day on the market, first showing,
-
00:09:06
a full price offer.
-
00:09:08
God just showed us so much favor through the process.
-
00:09:10
So.
-
00:09:11
- That's amazing.
-
00:09:13
- I'm Aaron. I'm on our music team at Crossroads.
-
00:09:16
I get to work with this guy, which is a lot of fun.
-
00:09:18
And one of the things I'm really, really thankful for this year
-
00:09:21
is my son was born in February.
-
00:09:24
His name's Anson.
-
00:09:25
One of the reasons I'm thankful, it's our first son.
-
00:09:27
So we have two girls and a boy now.
-
00:09:29
But more than that, I'm thankful just
because I'm reminded of God's faithfulness.
-
00:09:33
Our oldest, Juliet, was born.
-
00:09:35
We didn't have any issues having her.
-
00:09:38
And then after that, we actually lost two kids.
-
00:09:41
And the doctors -- it was terrible surgery,
-
00:09:45
like an emergency surgery for my wife.
-
00:09:47
She lost one of her tubes.
-
00:09:50
And the doctors told us that
-
00:09:51
we probably weren't going to be able to have kids again.
-
00:09:54
But we were believing for more and really just knew that --
-
00:09:59
We believed that God was going to give us more kids.
-
00:10:00
So we've had two more since then.
-
00:10:02
We think He's going to give us even more than that.
-
00:10:04
So it's just -- just 100% God's faithfulness.
-
00:10:08
And I believe each one of these kids is a miracle.
-
00:10:10
So.
-
00:10:11
- Fantastic.
-
00:10:12
- Yeah.
-
00:10:15
- So, are you done?
-
00:10:16
- No.
-
00:10:19
He wants more.
-
00:10:20
- More.
-
00:10:21
- More.
-
00:10:23
- This is -- this little nerdy.
-
00:10:25
So can I get a little nerdy?
-
00:10:26
- You are are a little nerdy, so just be yourself.
-
00:10:28
- With your glasses you fit right in.
-
00:10:31
- Yeah. You haven't pushed there.
-
00:10:32
- There we go.
-
00:10:35
No, so you all know I have I have type 1 diabetes.
-
00:10:38
And it's just -- I limp with that all the time.
-
00:10:42
That's my --
-
00:10:43
And it's -- if you're going to have a chronic illness, it's the one to get.
-
00:10:47
So let me just phrase it like that.
-
00:10:49
But the technology behind it makes my life so rich.
-
00:10:54
So like right now I wear these medical devices
-
00:10:57
and you can't even see them.
-
00:10:59
But I wear them and they make me more aware and healthier.
-
00:11:03
So while I -- So now I can --
-
00:11:06
So, I've got one here on my arm.
-
00:11:08
I've got one on my belly.
-
00:11:10
But I can look at my watch and it will tell me what my blood sugar is.
-
00:11:13
And it alerts me if it's high or low and it tells my wife when it's high.
-
00:11:17
And so, like I have a care team of people who love me and want --
-
00:11:21
You know, she may text me and go, "You need to eat something."
-
00:11:23
I was like, "I didn't even know."
-
00:11:24
So I'm grateful for the science and the technology that lets me live a really --
-
00:11:32
I'm probably healthier right now because of it than I would be otherwise.
-
00:11:35
So I'm really thankful for the technology that
makes me continue to live every day.
-
00:11:42
I'm really grateful. Look at that.
-
00:11:44
- Oh!
-
00:11:45
- I'm so grateful.
-
00:11:46
So grateful.
-
00:11:53
- So I actually have in general hated to travel almost all my life.
-
00:12:00
Maybe because I'm impatient.
-
00:12:01
Maybe I don't like airplanes.
-
00:12:03
But when my daughter graduated, I made a couple of promises to myself.
-
00:12:08
And one was that I would buy really fancy luggage
-
00:12:11
and get the Clear or the TSA pre-check and I would travel.
-
00:12:15
And so I'm so grateful and thankful to God that --.
-
00:12:19
- The Clear, the eyeball thing.
-
00:12:20
- Is it worth it?
-
00:12:21
- I don't know. Yeah, I mean.
-
00:12:23
Well, you know what's not worth it?
-
00:12:24
TSA pre-check, because everybody has it.
-
00:12:26
- Yeah, totally.
-
00:12:27
- Everybody has it.
-
00:12:28
- Seriously.
-
00:12:29
- Yeah. Right. We need post check.
-
00:12:30
- Yeah. Not a lot of people have Clear, so that's why, yeah.
-
00:12:34
So I had the TSA Pre and then I got the Clear.
-
00:12:36
- OK.
-
00:12:37
- So I got fancy luggage and I got Clear.
-
00:12:40
And I've already a couple of places this year.
-
00:12:44
And I've also scheduled lots of great trips with girlfriends
-
00:12:47
and with my family and with my kid and with friends.
-
00:12:51
And so I'm super grateful just for the opportunity to travel.
-
00:12:54
What I've learned, kind of like camping, Brian,
-
00:12:56
is that you have to have great gear.
-
00:12:58
And so I'm super grateful to God for that.
-
00:13:01
- That's good.
-
00:13:03
- Woo, close.
-
00:13:06
- This is a year I had a lot of construction projects,
-
00:13:12
a lot of Hands-On stuff.
-
00:13:16
I shot my first deer this year.
-
00:13:19
I did a lot of stuff around the house.
-
00:13:22
This table got made, the buffet over there got made
-
00:13:25
and a bunch of other things.
-
00:13:26
I just -- I'm thankful that God has given me
the skills He's giving me to do these things.
-
00:13:30
And specifically He gave me those skills by introducing me
-
00:13:34
to people who gave me those skills.
-
00:13:37
Scott Federoff in Construction,
-
00:13:39
Max Andrijeski in Cabinet making/cabinetry,
-
00:13:43
Shimon Myers who sat at this table the day after Thanksgiving
-
00:13:46
and gave me a primer on what cross-bow I needed to get
-
00:13:49
and what to do, and the next day I had a deer.
-
00:13:52
So it were these people just building into me
-
00:13:55
and giving me information I didn't have.
-
00:13:57
And I'm thankful for being competent and capable.
-
00:13:59
I'm thankful how God has brought the right person
-
00:14:02
into my life at the right time to give me a full life.
-
00:14:05
(crosstalk)
-
00:14:11
- I'll let you have it. I'll let you have it.
-
00:14:13
I'll let you have it. Would you want me to overflow it?
-
00:14:17
- Kinda kind of.
-
00:14:19
- No, not -- not now.
-
00:14:20
You already made your decision.
-
00:14:23
- I'd like to stretch it out.
-
00:14:24
You know, this is how I go, I like to stretch it out.
-
00:14:27
I want more gratitude.
-
00:14:28
- I know.
-
00:14:29
- I know you, you're tired of this gratitude thing.
-
00:14:31
Can we just go start watching Netflix?
-
00:14:33
No, I'm enjoying -- I'm enjoying the worshipful environment here.
-
00:14:38
- I appreciate the water overflowing, going, "Look at how generous God's been."
-
00:14:44
You're just, you know, you're stiffing God here
-
00:14:48
by not letting us experience it.
-
00:14:50
- Okay.
-
00:14:52
- Is this Thanksgiving?
-
00:14:53
- Oh, yeah.
-
00:14:54
It pretty much is, yes.
-
00:14:56
- A very aggressive Thanksgiving.
-
00:14:59
- Aggressive. We love an aggressive life.
-
00:15:00
- I'll do another one. There you go.
-
00:15:04
I am really thankful, I used to shun social media stuff.
-
00:15:08
I used to judge people who did social media and did blogs and podcasts.
-
00:15:12
Boy, was I wrong. I've had --
-
00:15:13
God's given me a lot of favor
-
00:15:16
and having fun doing Aggressive Life and the podcast.
-
00:15:19
And it's been fun to think about things to post.
-
00:15:22
I think I did a bunch of posts on this table.
-
00:15:24
So there again, another new experience that God gave me this last year.
-
00:15:29
My cup runneth over.
-
00:15:37
I like to say my cup overflows
-
00:15:40
because I'm visibly seeing the cup overflowing right there.
-
00:15:44
And it's true, my heart, my cup overflows.
-
00:15:47
So it's really cool to have a physical representation
-
00:15:50
of the way I feel or we feel inside.
-
00:15:52
It's good.
-
00:15:53
So here's the way this goes.
-
00:15:54
It's mandatory going round the circle.
-
00:15:56
And then once it overflows like it just did,
-
00:15:59
then it's just free for all.
-
00:16:00
If you don't have anything else you want to say,
-
00:16:03
If you want to pitch in now, it's just kind of free for all,
-
00:16:05
if you want to add on and see the cup overflowing.
-
00:16:08
We start adding stuff on right now.
-
00:16:11
- I've got another one.
-
00:16:12
For the first time ever in my life, I have a mentor, which is amazing.
-
00:16:16
And it's named Don Gerred.
-
00:16:18
He's the exact opposite of me in every single way.
-
00:16:23
But man, he challenges me.
-
00:16:26
He's making me a better leader, a better husband, a better friend.
-
00:16:29
So very, very thankful for him.
-
00:16:33
- I'm thankful for my father-in-law, who --
-
00:16:36
we bought a new house this year, have moved.
-
00:16:37
And he has spent so much time at our house
-
00:16:41
just rewiring our dishwasher and repainting our laundry room.
-
00:16:47
And just -- he has endlessly served my family.
-
00:16:50
So I'm very thankful for Lou.
-
00:16:53
- Ok, speaking of laundry room.
-
00:16:56
It reminded me I wrote down one day,
-
00:16:59
I am thankful for my extra large capacity washer.
-
00:17:02
I have a household of six people.
-
00:17:05
I do so much laundry, it's insane.
-
00:17:08
And with my extra large capacity washer, I do fewer loads.
-
00:17:11
[laughter]
-
00:17:16
Well, there you have it, guys.
-
00:17:17
You know a good thing to do when you close up this exercise
-
00:17:20
is just maybe just -- why don't we hold hands
-
00:17:22
and just thank God one last time here.
-
00:17:23
OK?
-
00:17:26
Lord, You are good to give us each other,
-
00:17:29
good to give us this holiday.
-
00:17:30
And You're good to give us all the things we mentioned and more.
-
00:17:32
We pray God for this next year.
-
00:17:35
We ask for more this next year.
-
00:17:36
We ask for your hand of blessing on our life this whole next year.
-
00:17:39
And we're already looking forward to next Thanksgiving
-
00:17:42
because we want to recount
-
00:17:43
the crazy, great, generous things You've done in our life.
-
00:17:47
You're good.
-
00:17:48
I pray these things according to the name of Jesus, Amen.
-
00:17:53
Well, one more thing I want to do.
-
00:17:54
Why don't we adjourn to the couch over here.
-
00:17:58
And why don't we sing some worship songs?
-
00:18:00
No matter where you are, we'd love for you to join in with us.
-
00:18:03
It's another way to give thanks,
-
00:18:04
not just articulating things to God,
-
00:18:07
but also singing things to God.
-
00:18:09
So why don't we go over and sing some stuff to God.
-
00:18:22
All right. We're not done yet.
-
00:18:24
We're not done yet.
-
00:18:25
Oh, by the way.
-
00:18:27
Yes.
-
00:18:28
Thankful for a new member of our family, Peanut.
-
00:18:30
Say hello to, everybody, Peanut.
-
00:18:31
Hello. Hello.
-
00:18:33
Yes. If you've been the past, Winston has been with us.
-
00:18:36
Winston is no more part of our family, but we have Peanut here.
-
00:18:39
So here's Peanuts first Thanksgiving.
-
00:18:41
And don't --
-
00:18:42
You know we're doing this
-
00:18:44
because we want our Thanksgivings to be better.
-
00:18:46
We want them to be different.
-
00:18:48
We don't just want to do the same old same old gorge on Turkey
-
00:18:51
and have tryptophan overload and all the rest the stuff.
-
00:18:53
We want to connect with God.
-
00:18:55
So we're giving you real things you can do to start new traditions.
-
00:18:59
The one we did around the table.
-
00:19:01
Now the one we're gonna sing right now.
-
00:19:03
When we sing it can be very uncomfortable for us, but we sing.
-
00:19:06
We give thanks to God.
-
00:19:08
That's what these words say, we're giving thanks to God.
-
00:19:11
God gets to hear from us with our voice box,
-
00:19:15
making a melody, making music.
-
00:19:17
And it feels vulnerable, which is exactly why
-
00:19:20
I think God receives it as a beautiful offering.
-
00:19:24
Is that right, Captain Worshiper, Robbie Reider?
-
00:19:26
- Yeah. Yeah.
-
00:19:27
What we're about to do, I think, we can all agree,
-
00:19:31
it's a little uncomfortable.
-
00:19:32
But we wouldn't ask you to do it
-
00:19:33
if we didn't believe that it was good for you.
-
00:19:36
So I know it's super easy that when you're watching this at home,
-
00:19:40
maybe you've got it up on the TV,
-
00:19:41
maybe got on your laptop.
-
00:19:42
It comes time to the singing and it's like,
-
00:19:44
"Well, maybe I need to unload the dishwasher."
-
00:19:46
Stop. Don't unload the dishwasher right now.
-
00:19:49
I would encourage you to take the posture
-
00:19:51
of all these fine folks right here and sit down.
-
00:19:54
And the words are gonna show up on your screen.
-
00:19:56
I want to invite you for the next 12, maybe 13, 14 minutes to sing along.
-
00:20:01
Because what's going to happen is you're going to train your heart
-
00:20:04
to fall in line with all the things of gratitude
-
00:20:06
that we just said.
-
00:20:08
We just said our gratitude, now we're going to sing it.
-
00:20:10
And it's a humbling thing, and yet the Lord loves it.
-
00:20:14
I love it when my kids hand make me a card.
-
00:20:17
It's way more meaningful than when my kids
-
00:20:19
buy me a card and just write their name on it.
-
00:20:21
Now, which one's prettier?
-
00:20:23
Well, people would probably say the bought card.
-
00:20:25
But the one I keep is the one they made for me.
-
00:20:27
And that's what we're doing right now,
-
00:20:28
we're making a card of gratitude to our Father.
-
00:20:31
.
-
00:20:32
All right. So step away from the dishwasher
-
00:20:34
and go sit back down on your couch and let's do this.
-
00:20:36
All right?
-
00:20:42
Sing, our God a firm foundation.
-
00:25:40
- So as we're singing this this line, "we say yes,"
-
00:25:44
like, one of the things that we can do is we can simply just say,
-
00:25:48
"Jesus, yes, You are the one that is our provider.
-
00:25:51
Yes, Jesus. If there's any amount of blessing in our life,
-
00:25:55
yes, it comes from You.
-
00:25:57
Yes. Jesus, if I have any health, it is from You.
-
00:26:00
And when I follow You, I experience Your freedom."
-
00:26:04
So here's what I want you to do.
-
00:26:06
I want you to, wherever you are right now,
-
00:26:08
if you're sitting on a couch like us,
-
00:26:10
if you're in your car in traffic,
-
00:26:12
I want you to take this moment.
-
00:26:13
We're going to give you like 20 seconds
-
00:26:15
and I want you to come up with your own top three.
-
00:26:18
What are you grateful for right now?
-
00:26:21
And then as we sing the chorus the next time,
-
00:26:23
you're just going to going to hold that in the front of your mind.
-
00:26:25
All right?
-
00:26:26
Think of those three things.
-
00:26:37
So, God, as we sing this, we say yes to You,
-
00:26:40
that You are our provider.
-
00:26:42
You are our King. You are our Father,
-
00:26:44
You're our savior, and we love You.
-
00:26:52
You guys ready? We say yes.
-
00:30:35
- God, we are grateful and that's why we're gathered here.
-
00:30:38
That's why we're being vulnerable and we're singing loudly.
-
00:30:42
We thank You for what You've done in our lives,
-
00:30:44
what You're doing in our lives,
-
00:30:45
and what You have yet to do in our lives.
-
00:30:48
So with a great hope and anticipation that comes from the power
-
00:30:53
and the integrity and the authority of the name Jesus
-
00:30:58
that we were singing before.
-
00:30:59
Amen.
-
00:31:02
Great job, guys.
-
00:31:04
That was strong.
-
00:31:05
Great job for sticking it out and not doing the dishes right now.
-
00:31:10
BT, what do you got for us?
-
00:31:12
It's Thanksgiving.
-
00:31:13
Let's do something else other than watch a screen.
-
00:31:15
Let's go, chop, chop.
-
00:31:16
- Yeah, come on.
-
00:31:21
- Give thanks to God this Thanksgiving
-
00:31:24
through some of these exercises around your Thanksgiving table.
-
00:31:28
And we'll see you back for the start
-
00:31:30
of our brand new Christmas series this Sunday: Advent.
