    ADHD/ODD/Anxiety/Autism Support Group fo...

Wednesday 6:00PM EST - 8:00PM EST, Every Other Week
    in-person

Are you a parent struggling with the emotional challenges and roller coaster that comes along with raising a child who does not function in a neurotypical way? Are you constantly receiving advice from family and friends on parenting strategies that may work great for other children, but you silently laugh and think to yourself "they just don't understand." If the answer is yes, then this support group is for you. We are two families in the trenches of raising children with ADHD and know how isolating it can feel. We want to create a space where you can open up and share your toughest days (heck months or even year) with people who truly "get it" and understand what you're going through. We hope to provide a space of encouragement, healing and prayer throughout your parenting journey. We hope to have speakers from time to time who can share wisdom and stories of hope. Most importantly, we want to share space with other families who will commit to showing up for 6 weeks, allowing for vulnerability and openly sharing experiences and allowing God into the fray of it all. Meeting dates, all 6-7:30 PM: Wednesday (1/31) Thursday (2/15) Wednesday (2/28) Wednesday (3/13) Wednesday (3/27) Wednesday (4/10) * We encourage couples to attend together when possible!

We are adoptive, foster and kinship parents who are committed to caring for the fatherless. We join together to grow through training, education and most importantly building community with other adoptive and foster families. We are encouraged as we share stories and learn from others who are on a similar journey. We believe that the church can be a part of equipping and empowering families as we together “take up the cause of the fatherless” Isaiah 1:17

    Apologetics for Dads

    Multiple Times & Locations
    in-person

Apologetics means looking at the evidence and arguments in defense of our faith. The group provides a forum for men to think about their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and our culture. The goal is to understand the interaction of faith and culture and, for fathers, to apply that understanding to the raising and education of their children. The Bible will be the core source material against which we will compare arguments from books, textbooks, movies, magazines, websites, podcasts, and anything else in our culture. We will start with McDowell and Wallace’s So The Next Generation Will Know and pursue answers to questions from the group from there. For meetings, we’ll pray for one another, study apologetics, and testify to the leading and work of God in our lives.
