GO Local is over for the year, but making an impact in your neighborhood doesn't have to be.

Change your neighborhood

It doesn’t take much to start changing the world, and you don’t need to fly to some faraway country. Change starts at home, and there are people in your neighborhood who are waiting for you. You were made to make a difference.

GO Local is a weeklong blitz of community service projects (construction, gardening, painting, hosting events, you name it) on May 13–19. It’s one way we, as the church, can start transforming our communities. (And there are NO services that weekend so NO excuses!)

How to do GO Local:

Step 1
Pick your Project

  • Once you pick your project, you’ll receive a confirmation email with project details immediately and a GO Local serve reminder the week of your project.

Step 2
Show Up

  • On your project date the week of May 13-19, rain or shine, show up to your project.
  • Wear a white t-shirt. You’ll get a sweet sticker to wear and it will help identify who’s part of the project.
  • Watch your neighborhood change
  • Share your day on social media using #GOLocal19

Step 3
Keep on Serving

  • Don't stop with GO Local. Serve in your neighborhood regularly.
  • The organization you serve during GO Local will be really cool. Ask them how you can serve again.
  • Keep an eye out for information about ongoing serving opportunities beginning in June.

Will there be weekend services?
While we’re out in our communities that weekend, there will be NO WEEKEND SERVICES at Crossroads sites or online. This isn’t a weekend off. It’s a weekend out—out of your house and Crossroads sites, out in our communities, and out with our neighbors.

And the King will answer them, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”
