Nicaragua is a beautiful, lush, green country, and is home to some of the most humble, loving people you’ll ever meet. It’s also one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere, where nearly half of the population lives in poverty…many of which don’t have access to the basics like clean water.
We work alongside Nicaraguans, building critical water systems for small villages, working in local schools, and developing relationships while experiencing God’s love in powerful new ways.
You were made for more than comfort and ease. A trip to Nicaragua forces you to think about the simplest of pleasures, starting with clean water.

Travel day. Fly to Nicaragua, with a stop in Miami or another stateside airport first.
The real adventure begins with a climb up Cerro Negro. Umm...what is that? It’s a volcano! And it’s quite an experience.
Work alongside our partner Amigos for Christ in the community. We will build waterways, support local farmers in the field, and serve at the education academy in rural Nicaragua. It'll be exhausting, unforgettable and definitely meaningful to our partners.
That was an exhilarating week, now it’s time to head back home where you can rest and reflect on the work that made a lasting impact in the communities served.
We will be staying at the Amigos for Christ complex, which is amazing. There are plenty of rooms, comfortable accommodations to settle into after a day of serving, and plenty of space for connecting with the team. Oh, and the rooftop view of the mountains on a clear day is breathtaking.
Amigos for Christ is a nonprofit organization that develops an intense and effective 7-year program that facilitates clean water getting into village homes, oral and physical health, community education, and economic development in rural Nicaraguan communities. We jump into work with Amigos every time we’re on Nicaraguan soil, because we trust and respect the way they’re revitalizing villages in simple but powerful ways.
If you do contract COVID during the trip, you will need to quarantine. We do have insurance that will make any extra hotel, lodging, and medical expenses reimbursable to you up to certain limits.
$2,000. This covers your flight, room and board, work supplies, travel insurance, and activities. Not covered are meals at the airport, vaccinations, passport fees (If you need one or renewal) and souvenirs.
