Head to the epicenter of the Civil Rights Movement to explore racial history in America and gain a new understanding of God’s Kingdom and his call upon us in light of that. This trip addresses important issues that continue to impact communities in this historic region, and you’ll learn about the root causes of these injustices. This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of at-risk communities while also learning about the city’s rich Civil Rights history. You’ll visit historic sites and meet with Civil Rights leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of social justice and activism. Hands-on service paired with learning will help you be change agents in your own community.

You will work to support communities still struggling to recover from recent disasters, including natural disasters and economic downturns. You will be immersed in top notch museums, hearing from living legends, learning from one of many guides on the ground, and walking in the footsteps of the Civil Rights giants that lived and dreamed on the same corners and streets where you will be visiting.

No matter where you are on your journey with racial history and reconciliation, what you may know, or think you know, there is a place for you in Alabama. GO continue the legacy of the brave individuals who fought for justice and equality in our country.
