If you are experiencing a bit of heartburn after consuming a heavy dose of polarizing political posts on social media with a side of inflammatory national news for breakfast and you can feel your blood pressure rising and your anxiety skyrocketing, you are not alone.

The Good News is that we don’t have to Panic in 2020.

Politics is broken. We feel it. That’s why 61% of Americans identify as the “exhausted majority.” We see through the smoke and mirrors of each party and want something more. We’re tired of the polarized political narratives. We’re tired of being pushed toward extremes. We’re tired of the false promises and paralyzing fears. But there is an alternative. Something more transcendent, meaningful, even harmonizing.

Jesus said:

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

This is the promise of Don’t Panic 2020. Take heart!

When culture pushes you to a side, it’s a radical move to hold the middle. We choose to stand there, together. We refuse to demonize the other. We choose grace and understanding. We refuse to give way to division, fear, or hatred. We stop looking for our hopes in the fleeting empires of the earth, but in the unchanging Kingdom of God. We choose together. We choose the Radical Middle.

No matter who you are: your party affiliation or growing fear over the outcome of the election—you can win no matter who gets elected.
