Help restore hope to families making a fresh start.
Imagine taking a shower and not having a towel, or trying to prepare a meal without pots, pans, plates or utensils. New Beginnings works with families in our community who need these household essentials. We don’t just give them stuff; we connect with the families, build relationships with them and get to know their unique circumstances. Then we help fill their home with hope, trust and love, as well as needed household items.
If you’d like to show God’s love to a family making a new beginning, there are lots of ways you can help:
Serve
Flexible serving opportunities are available. Opportunities include moving, decorating, organizing supplies, cleaning and making household repairs.
Donate
We’re looking for new or gently used furniture and household items. We’re talking about nice stuff here, people—things you wouldn’t be embarrassed to display or use in your own house. Commonly needed items are:
- Furniture
- Kitchenware: pots, pans, utensils, appliances, etc.
- Fans (ceiling or box)
- Portable heaters and air conditioners
- Bed linens (any size)
- Bathroom essentials
- Home decorations
