Special Effects
Special effects are everywhere. Sometimes they're these huge, obvious productions used to bring to life the destruction of the world or to convince us that Billy Bob Thornton is sexy. But other times they're more subtle, in the background and hardly noticeable. However they're used, they have one goal: to move us through a story. The Bible can be like this for us. Sometimes we encounter a passage and it's so obvious it challenges us immediately and we're never the same. Other times, it's a slower burn that's harder to put our finger on. Join us this summer as we look at the special effects that different encounters with the Bible have had on someone's story.

Mind+Screw
What if we discovered that our mind has played tricks on us? What if things are not what they seem? What if we found that our world is not defined by what happens to us but rather by how we process and react to what happens? And what if the result is we’ve settled for less than we really are? What if there’s another way?

Fresh Breath
Consider the natural things we do - the rhythm of life, eating, sleeping, breathing. Now, think of prayer. For most of us it doesn't fit. For many of us, prayer has become this unnatural, planned thing we do at ''official'' places like church and the horse track. The picture of prayer we get from Jesus, however, is one that's anything but ''official'' and unnatural. In fact it's as easy, natural and spontaneous as breathing. Join us over these five weeks as we learn from how Jesus prayed and enjoy a few surprises along the way.

The Life
Who was this guy Jesus and what was he really like? What did he really do? What did he really say? Jesus came so we could have life, and have it to the full. Great. So what does that mean? From late February through mid April we'll look at how Jesus talked about his life, our life and life in general. And we'll do this through the eyes of his best friend John. As part of this journey we'll be linking our weekend services with short personal readings and follow-up discussion in Life Groups during the week.
The Game
Some have called it the game of life. OK, we’ll go with that. So what’s the object? Are there any rules? How do we keep score? Is this a team sport or more full contact dodge-ball? Join us in February as we explore these and other important questions like “Will Greg wear those little white ref pants again this year at the Super Bowl service”?

Revolution
It's a little weird that Christianity has become such an institution. When you look at Jesus' radical words and actions, he was much more about revolution than religion. He talked about radical change that starts in us and spreads throughout our world. He was about a revolution that promises not only eternal rewards but a new kind of kingdom right here, right now. Join us in January as we look at what Jesus meant when he described this revolutionary kingdom and what it means for Crossroads and for you.

Christmas Stories
Most of us know the basics of the story. Baby in a manger, the angels, the star, the elf who wants to be a dentist (OK, maybe some of us could use a refresher). But what we don’t often think about is that it wasn’t just one story. There were several very different stories that collided that one night in history. Join us in December as we look a little deeper into “The Story” by exploring several of these Christmas stories.

CSI
It’s a dirty little secret. Success isn’t always what we thought it would be. In fact, sometimes success can be more destructive to us as than failure. Join us over these 5 weeks as we investigate the good and the bad evidence from a string of intriguing lives and look for the clues God has left for our lives.
United States Of Addiction
It’s no secret. Addictions seem to be everywhere. There are those of us that wrestle with the “big” stuff. Maybe its feeling trapped by drugs or alcohol. Or something like sex, overeating or gambling. And then there are some of us that struggle with not so obvious poisons. But where is the line anyway? How do you know if something you have is actually having you? And is there really a way out? Join us in October as we look at how we tell if we’re flirting with an addiction and what tools God has given us for health.
