A volunteer revolution is happening in May.
Each year, an army of volunteers impact Cincinnati through various service projects in a one-day, citywide blitz of compassion. Working alongside other churches, we show love to hundreds of community-based organizations throughout our city.
In 2011, over 7,000 people from Crossroads and our partner churches went out into the city to serve the homeless, pray with the broken, paint schools, clean neighborhoods and help make a difference in our city. GO Cincinnati 2012 is Saturday, May 19 from 9am-1pm. We’ll be tackling over 350 projects in Florence, Mason and Oakley, and we’ll need your help.
We need project leaders to meet with the organizations we serve, manage all the details and lead volunteers to complete the job. Projects include:
- artistic painting (designing and creating a mural)
- construction
- gardening
- landscaping
- organizing/cleaning
- painting
- praying
- serving meals/throwing a party
- serving with children
- serving the elderly
All leaders must attend a mandatory kick-off meeting to receive training:
- Florence leaders: Monday, March 12 at 6pm
- Mason leaders: Sunday, March 11 at 12:30pm
- Oakley leaders: Saturday, March 10 at 10am
